Graaff Fruit - Varietals

Varietals

We travel abroad annually in search of new cultivars that would be suitable for the South African climate and soil.

This keeps us at the forefront of varietal innovation. We have tested hundreds of new varieties on our trial orchards, including a trial orchard under net, and this process is ongoing from year to year. In collaboration with breeders and intellectual property owners, we establish whether these varieties are suitable to our micro climates and whether they are suitable for market demand.

We develop a management protocol for each variety, based on individual characteristics, from pruning to harvesting. By merging the best scientific and organic practices at each stage of production, we are able to offer fruit of the very highest quality.
